What is the Right Age to Send My Child to Circle F?

Circle F Dude Ranch Summer Camp caters to kids aged 6-16. We often hear parents ask what is the right age to send their child to camp? Well, is there a right age to adventure? To discover a new hobby? To be part of a team and community? Since camp grows with your child, they’ll experience exactly what their age group needs.Younger campers get a nurturing and supportive environment, pre-teens thrive on the adventure and teamwork aspects, and our teenagers get to experience leadership opportunities and create friendships that last a lifetime.
To help with this decision, we encourage parents to listen to their child and to look for signs of readiness, regardless of age. There are some six year olds ready to dive right in and wave bye to mom and dad with a smile, and there are some kids that won’t feel ready until they’re a little bit older. Some helpful tips in looking for readiness are: How do they handle bedtime routines? Are they independent with toileting and self-hygiene? Are they able to follow directions? Are they often excited about new experiences? At Circle F, there’s no perfect age to start, just a camp to help them spread their wings when they’re ready.
