At Circle F Dude Ranch we believe that food matters. Fresh, locally sourced, farm-to-table meals are an important part of any Dude Ranch experience. We want everyone to enjoy a delicious meal when they sit down in the Lasso Lodge Dining Room. The Ranch provides a variety of healthy and fresh options to meet all personal preferences.
Where does our food come from?
Our focus is producing meals with safe, fresh, and locally sourced ingredients while supporting our local farms. The Ranch sources much of our food locally through Florida farmers.
We maintain a high level of food safety. Each farm is required to meet rigorous safe farming and food handling protocols to be considered as a supplier.
The Lasso Lodge Dining Experience
You will step back in time when you enter our original 1952 dining hall — the Lasso Lodge. Guests eat at tables surrounded by classic wood panels and under original wagon wheel light fixtures, all with a view of our beautiful Sunset Lake. The Lasso Lodge provides all-you-care-to-enjoy cafeteria-style meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Menus and meal services vary by season.
Food Allergies & Special Needs
- The Ranch can accommodate most food allergies, dietary needs, and intolerances.
- Our kitchen is nut-free.
- Camp families should share food preferences and dietary needs on the Confidential section of your camper’s medical information form.
- General guests should report any dietary needs to their group leader to help the Ranch prepare.
Guests and campers with severe allergies should contact us directly so we can make a food allergy action plan for you. Guests and campers with special food requirements can bring additional items to camp that we will store. Anyone is welcome to read any label in the kitchen!
Summer Camp Food
The camp meal experience is an important part of every child’s time at the Ranch. It is an opportunity to sit with their cabin and counselors, and a foundation to building our camp family. Meals are served cafeteria style, but campers still take turns being the waiter for their table, helping to set the tables and clean up the dishes.
Kid Friendly
Our kid-friendly menu has lots of daily options to ensure every child finds something to eat while at camp. During breakfast, campers have the choice between a hot breakfast entrée, oatmeal, grits, a fresh fruit and yogurt bar, cold cereals, water, milk, and juices. At lunch and dinner campers have the choice of hot entrees, full fresh salad bar, and sun butter and jelly sandwiches, along with water, juice, or tea. Every lunch and dinner also includes a special dessert or treat.
Snow Cones!
Campers get snacks during the day from the Cantina and Camp Store. Each afternoon the Cantina opens for campers to receive a snack and drink before they start their afternoon activities. The Cantina offers items such as Gatorade, bottled water, chips, crackers, and cookies.
In the evening our Camp Store opens before the nightly program to give kids an opportunity to enjoy a snack — soda, bottled water, candy, chocolate bars, etc. The cost of Cantina & the Camp Store is included in your camper’s tuition.
