Sleepaway Camp Jobs Application — The Best Summer Jobs for College Students
Application Process
Do your research. Make sure Circle F Dude Ranch Camp fits your philosophy and feels like the right place for you. Above all else, everyone at camp must be passionate about working with children. Regardless of the activity, you choose you will live in a cabin with one other counselor and ten campers.
Everyone must complete our online application. Our directors read every completed application thoroughly. Read our application tips. They will review your qualifications and experience to determine if you are the right fit for the Ranch. Regardless if you have been a former camper, CIT, or staff person, an up-to-date application is required.
After reviewing your application, we’ll email or call to schedule an interview. Applicants are welcome to come to camp for the interview or set up a virtual Zoom interview. Please plan for at least an hour when scheduling the interview.
Our preference is that you visit the camp for the interview, but we understand that distance and busy schedules can hinder many applicants. In this case, we’ll arrange a Zoom interview.
You have impressed us if you are at this step. But we have several more steps to complete on our end before offering you an employment contract. We’ll check the references you listed in your application. We’ll run a criminal background check, sex offender database check, and a social media check. Your background check is stored in the Florida Clearing House database for full-time and returning staff and is maintained for five years from your first date of employment.
If that is all satisfactory, a camp director will contact you for a final phone interview before formally offering you a position and sending a contract.
