Camp Registration for 2022

70th Summer Here We Come

It’s official, Circle F Dude Ranch Summer Camp 2022 registration is now open for the season. We look forward to welcoming back all our camp families this year. The camp leadership team has been busy reviewing all the great feedback provided by our campers, families, and staff from last summer to make key improvements across our program. The Ranch is working hard to make our 70th summer one of the best summers ever. Here is just a glimpse of some of what we are working on for Circle F Dude Ranch Summer Camp 2022.

New Western Focused Activities

This summer campers can experience the classic Dude Ranch life in new programing

Circle F Dude Ranch’s traditional sleep-away camp has always been known for its outstanding camp experience in a classic Dude Ranch setting. Has your camper ever wanted to be a cowboy or cowgirl? This summer they can! We are expanding our Dude Ranch Camp programming with a whole new department of western activities. The new department, running along with all our original programs, will be focused on life at a horse & cattle ranch. From horsemanship and horseback riding to chuckwagon cooking and ax-throwing, the camp’s new department promises to be nothing short of an authentic western adventure with a little hard work thrown in. Stay tuned for more announcements about this upcoming program.

Improved Meal Experience

This year Circle F Dude Ranch is expanding its meal service to be more focused on a fresh Farm to Table experien

When your campers eat at camp their meals should be both delicious and healthy. For years the Ranch has understood how to build a kid-friendly menu that can work with the palate of often picky eaters. This year we want to expand our knowledge and further improve our menu. The Circle F leadership team has made it a mission this year to review and revamp our kitchen service. Our goal is to build a new food service program moving to a menu more focused on local organic and freshly sourced ingredients, but still camper-friendly. This farm-to-table experience will help us improve the quality of our menu and meals. Furthermore, it continues our outreach into the local community supporting our Polk County small business and family farms.

Back to Classic Camp

Looking forward to a classic summer camp experience in 2022

As with so many things Covid-19 has had a direct impact on our summer camp. The way we operate our program, meal service, counselor/camper interactions, and cabin life have all been affected. During these times we have learned some amazing things about how to operate a camp during a pandemic. From these hardships were born some wonderful things like canoe sinks and our evening all camp gathering. However, it has also limited how some of our camp programs have worked. As we approach the summer of 2022, we are both hopeful and energetic about retuning camp back to a more classic operating structure. Realizing that Covid-19 may not be gone but based on the lessons of the last two summers we can return camp to much of its pre Covid-19 operations while applying what we learned going forward. We know there is a lot of questions about vaccinations, testing, and program design. In the coming months the camp will make further announcements on how all of this will be addressed in more detail.
